In the second edition of this three-part series, we explore the nature of the last day of freedom before classes resume. And today was filled with quite some freedom! I began the day by venturing to the RPAC, Ohio State's state-of-the-art workout facility with Amanda (rumor is it might be the largest one in the country). You could hide an entire town in this building and still have space for dodgeball and basketball tournaments. Needless to say, the place is f'in huge. I ran on the inside track and used some of the cardio machines, which felt good since I haven't done it in a long time. Amanda and I returned to dine with Mandy in the lovely 1787 room. I went to a meeting after that, took a shower, had a 1-on-1, went to another meeting and finally got a nap in (my head was killing me at this point). The evening activities were filled with more eating, purchasing a binder for the quarter, getting some breakfast foods for the week and then doing things around the building.
That's all I've got.
The first day of school isn't as exciting as it used to be.
Perhaps it's because I've been doing this for 18 consecutive years?
